Metal outlasts both and holds up in strong wind. It costs more to put on, and without good underlayment it can be noisy when rain or hail hits. We point out which of those trade-offs actually matter for your home.
We treat repairs the same way. When the trouble is a couple of loose shingles and a split pipe boot, we fix those and stop there. When the decking is soft or the roof carries patch on top of patch, we show you photos and explain why a replacement could be the better spend. The decision stays yours, and you make it knowing exactly what we saw.
What You Can Expect From Us
Samples you can hold
We bring shingle and metal samples out to your home so you can check color and texture in daylight, right next to your brick or siding. A shade that looks good on a screen can look very different on a roof.
Line-item estimates
Our written estimate breaks out materials, underlayment, flashing, vents and tear-off on their own lines. If bad decking turns up once the old roof comes off, we show it to you before we replace any of it.
Photos of what we find
On roof inspections and storm checks we photograph every problem spot. You see the hail bruises, lifted tabs or rusted flashing with your own eyes.
Cleanup before we leave
Tarps go over flower beds and shrubs before tear-off starts, and we keep the driveway protected from falling debris. When the work wraps up, a rolling magnet goes across the yard to pick up stray nails. You should notice the new roof, not a mess.
